This important rule of thumb applies to all components of your IELTS test.
For starters, after transferring your Listening answers from the Question booklet to the OMR Answer sheet, you have to CHECK to make sure you wrote the relevant answers in the correct question boxes. Then, as you are doing your Reading paper, you have to CHECK constantly that you are also writing down the correctly spelled answers next to the right question numbers. Needless to say, you also have to CHECK through both your writing tasks before the actual submission. If we could include a word about checking in the Speaking component, well you most definitely have to ensure you CHECK to ensure you understand the question asked.
There you have it, we cannot reiterate enough how important it is to check, check and check!
