Yay! We got your attention! :)
You must be thinking what the above acronym has got to do with IELTS. Well, it’s a very vital skill to have for your writing task. Any guesses for what it might stand for?
Well, to satisfy your curious appetite, it means ‘Keep It Short & Sweet’. Here, ‘It’ refers to your sentences. Many people feel that the longer your sentence, the more complex and well-written it is. More often than not, chances are, you end up making more mistakes than necessary. The wise saying of ‘Less is more’ applies in this instance. Instead of writing super long sentences (those that cannot be reasonably read aloud in one breath), you should keep your sentences short and sweet. Not only will it help minimise your mistakes, but it will also assist you in bringing across your points clearly and concisely.
All the best in ‘Keeping It Short & Sweet!’ ;)
